Dixon was a prominent figure in Canadian politics at the time, who stood up for the rights of individuals during a time of crisis. This project is currently looking for a publisher. The Afanc is a lake monster from Welsh mythology who has been described as looking like a crocodile, a dwarf and even a beaver. My version takes his cue from that last description.
