Mondays 15:15 - 16:15

£60 per term

A 13 week afterschool club that allows children to draw characters and create their own comic book stories in a relaxed atmosphere, guided by a professional comics illustrator.

Jaime will encourage pupils to explore different story ideas whilst providing useful hints and tips on story-writing, drawing and making your own comics - from script through to finished artwork.

Starts: Monday 07/09/2026

Ends: Monday 07/12/2026

13 sessions - Term time only

All basic drawing materials and paper provided.

About the tutor

My name’s Jaime and I’m a cartoonist and illustrator based in Worthing, West Sussex. I’ve illustrated comics on many subjects, ranging from Winston Churchill to the discovery of the iguanodon. I recently worked on the George Orwell adaptation Such, Such Were the Joys: A Graphic Novel with writer Sean Michael Wilson, which was published by Pluto Press and supported through Arts Council England.

I’m also an experienced tutor, having taught in further education for 10 years. I currently teach drawing skills to Games Design students at Brighton Metropolitan College.
